Advancing RLUSD Stablecoin Payments

Ripple, the cryptocurrency company, announced on the 5th its partnership with Mastercard, WebBank, and Gemini. The collaboration aims to enhance fiat currency-based payment processing for the Gemini Credit Card using Ripple's stablecoin, RLUSD.

This initiative seeks to enable a blockchain-based payment process using RLUSD on the XRPL between Mastercard and WebBank, the issuing bank for the Gemini Credit Card.

If realized, this would mark the first instance of a regulated U.S. bank using a regulated stablecoin on a public blockchain for traditional card transactions...
