Franklin Templeton Launches Hong Kong's First Tokenized Money Market Fund

Global asset management firm Franklin Templeton announced on the 5th that it has launched a tokenized US dollar-denominated money market fund for institutional and professional investors in Hong Kong. The Luxembourg-registered Franklin Onchain US Government Money Fund issues blockchain-based tokens representing investor shares, digitally recording ownership. This initiative is the first under the Hong Kong Monetary Authority's Fintech 2030 plan.
