Cipherpunk, the World's First Zcash-Holding Company, Raises 9.1 Billion Yen Led by the Winklevoss Twins to Acquire 200,000 ZEC

On the 12th, Nasdaq-listed Leap Therapeutics announced its name change to Cipherpunk Technologies, unveiling a strategy to accumulate the privacy-centric cryptocurrency Zcash (ZEC). The company has used $50 million of the funds raised through private placements to purchase 200,375.27 ZEC at an average price of $245.37 per ZEC. Accompanying the name change, the ticker symbol will also change from LPTX to CYPH starting November 13. This strategic shift is part of a $58.88 million (9.1 billion yen) private placement capital increase led by Winklevoss Capital.
