According to a report by the Financial Times on the 17th, Olaf Sleijpen, the President of the Dutch Central Bank and a senior policymaker at the European Central Bank (ECB), warned that the ECB might be forced to adjust its monetary policy if a stablecoin run occurs. President Sleijpen noted that 'if the current pace of stablecoin growth in the US continues, they could eventually become a significant presence in the financial system.' This year, the trading volume of digital tokens pegged to currencies like the US dollar surged by 48%, exceeding $300 billion (approximately 45 trillion yen).
