Prediction Markets Experience Rapid Growth, Kalshi Reportedly Raises 150 Billion Yen

The prediction market platform Kalshi, regulated by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), has raised $1 billion (approximately 150 billion yen) at a valuation of $11 billion, as reported by TechCrunch.

Just two months ago, the company raised $300 million at a valuation of $5 billion, more than doubling its valuation in a short period. This funding round was led by existing investors Sequoia and CapitalG, with major tech and cryptocurrency industry players such as Andreessen Horowitz and Paradigm also participating. Kalshi has declined to comment on this matter.
