Proposal to Reduce Solana's Inflation Rate, Anticipating a 22.3 Million SOL Reduction Over the Next Six Years

The Solana (SOL) cryptocurrency community has released the Solana Improvement Proposal 'SIMD-0411', which aims to double the rate of inflation reduction from -15% to -30%.

If this proposal is adopted, it is expected that the duration to reach Solana's long-term target inflation rate of 1.5% will be reduced by approximately half, from six years to within three years.

The main purpose of this change is to significantly reduce the number of Solana tokens issued, thereby alleviating excessive supply pressure in the market.
