Regulatory Clarification

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) issued a no-action letter on November 24 to Fuse Crypto Limited, a UK-based energy technology company, regarding the offering and sale of tokens 'ENERGY' issued on the Solana blockchain.

In its application, Fuse argued that the value of the tokens is tied to their utility within the network, and based on this explanation, the SEC determined that they do not constitute an investment contract. This decision is seen as a significant step towards clarifying cryptocurrency regulations in the United States, drawing considerable attention from the industry.
