CME Group Sets New Record in Cryptocurrency Futures and Options Trading Volume

CME Group, the world's largest derivatives market operator, announced on the 24th that its cryptocurrency futures and options products reached a record high daily trading volume of 794,903 transactions on November 21.

This figure surpasses the previous record of 728,475 transactions set on August 22, 2025.

Throughout this year, CME Group's cryptocurrency futures and options have continually set new records. The year-to-date average daily trading volume stands at 279,900 transactions (with an approximate notional value of $12 billion, or 1.8 trillion yen), marking a 132% increase from the previous year, while the average open interest has reached 299,700 transactions, up 82% from last year.
