MetaPlanet Secures Approximately 20 Billion Yen in Loans Using Bitcoin as Collateral

MetaPlanet, a company listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Standard that purchases Bitcoin (BTC) as part of its financial strategy, announced on the 25th that it has taken out a loan of 130 million dollars (approximately 20.3 billion yen).

The loan was executed on the 21st, with the lender remaining undisclosed at their request. The funds raised are intended for additional purchases of Bitcoin, Bitcoin income projects, and potentially for the repurchase of its own shares, depending on market conditions.

This borrowing is based on a credit facility agreement announced on the 28th of last month. At that time, MetaPlanet stated that under this agreement, up to 500 million dollars (currently valued at 77.9 billion yen) could be borrowed with Bitcoin as collateral.
