On the 27th, Ripple announced that its US dollar-pegged stablecoin 'RLUSD' has been officially recognized as a 'Fiat-Referenced Token' by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA).

This recognition under the regulatory framework of the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) enables registered financial institutions and businesses to use RLUSD for settlement and collateral purposes.

A 'Fiat-Referenced Token' is an official classification used by ADGM when legally categorizing stablecoins, referring to tokens that are pegged 1:1 to a specific fiat currency like the US dollar. This classification addresses risks that cannot be categorized under the general term 'stablecoin'...
