Ethereum Increases Block Gas Limit to 60 Million Units

Enhanced Processing Capacity

The cryptocurrency Ethereum (ETH) announced on the 25th that its block gas limit, the maximum amount of gas that can be used per block, has been increased from 45 million units to 60 million units.

This adjustment marks a doubling of the limit over the course of the year. With the upcoming Fusaka upgrade scheduled for December 3rd, Ethereum's transaction processing capacity has been significantly enhanced.

Each Ethereum block has a set limit on the volume of transactions it can process, known as the gas limit. By increasing the gas limit, each block can handle more transactions, thereby improving overall processing capacity.
