BlackRock Increases Stake in Bitcoin ETF 'IBIT' Through Bond Fund

Increasing IBIT Holdings in the July-September Quarter

BlackRock, the world's largest asset management firm, increased its holdings of its own Bitcoin (BTC) spot ETF, IBIT, during the July-September period through its investment trust, the Strategic Income Opportunities Portfolio (BSIO). This was revealed in documents filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on the 26th. As of September 30, BlackRock held 2,397,423 shares of IBIT, valued at approximately 24.3 billion yen, marking a 14% increase since the end of June. The fund aims to pursue total returns while keeping capital preservation in mind, primarily focusing on bonds.
