The 'Fusaka' upgrade for Ethereum (ETH) was completed on the morning of the 4th. This marks the second hard fork of Ethereum in 2025 as completed.

The key feature of Fusaka is the implementation of Peer Data Availability Sampling (PeerDAS) technology. This technology allows validators to verify only parts of the data, rather than the entire Layer 2 data package known as 'blobs'. This significantly reduces bandwidth requirements, cutting costs for both validators and the Layer 2 network.
