Coincheck Launches Support for Solana (SOL)

Cryptocurrency exchange Coincheck announced on the 11th that it has started handling Solana (SOL) at its sales offices and trading platforms. With this addition, services such as receiving, purchasing, selling, accumulating, and lending of SOL will gradually become available across the company's offerings.

Solana, developed in 2017 by Anatoly Yakovenko, is a layer 1 blockchain known for its high-speed processing capabilities. It adopts a unique Proof of History (PoH) mechanism, enabling fast and low-cost transaction processing. The ecosystem, particularly in the DeFi and NFT sectors, has been rapidly expanding, with significant developments projected for 2025.
