YouTube Supports PayPal Stablecoin Payments for Creator Compensation

Adopting PayPal's Stablecoin Payments

Fortune reported on the 11th that YouTube has enabled its video platform creators to opt for compensation in PayPal's stablecoin, PYUSD.

May Zabaneh, head of PayPal's cryptocurrency division, confirmed to Fortune that this feature is operational and currently available only to users in the United States. A spokesperson for Google, which owns YouTube, also acknowledged the addition of stablecoin payments for creator compensation.

YouTube is already a client of PayPal, and large corporations are making payments to gig workers and contractors...
