Ripple Expands Stablecoin RLUSD to Ethereum Layer 2

On the 15th, Ripple announced the deployment of its stablecoin RLUSD to Ethereum's Layer 2 networks for the first time.

Awaiting regulatory approval and ahead of its official launch next year, testing will commence on Optimism, Base, Ink, and Unichain. In partnership with Wormhole, one of the key multi-chain interoperability protocols, it will utilize the NTT token standard. Initially issued on the XRP Ledger and Ethereum Mainnet, RLUSD was designed with a clear aim to enable cross-chain and DeFi opportunities.
