Vote on Cryptocurrency 'Market Structure Bill' Postponed to 2026

U.S. 'Clarity Bill' Deliberations Delayed

On the 15th, Tim Scott, the Republican chairman of the U.S. Senate Banking Committee, announced that the committee vote on the 'Clarity Bill' (Market Structure Bill), which defines the market structure for digital assets (cryptocurrencies), will be postponed to 2026. This was reported by journalists including Elenor Terrett.

A spokesperson for Mr. Scott stated that there has been progress in discussions on the bipartisan digital asset market structure bill, in cooperation with Democratic lawmakers as well.

Chairman Scott has consistently stated from the beginning that this initiative should be conducted on a bipartisan basis. He aims to provide transparency to the digital asset industry and position the U.S. as a leader in this field.
