Visa Launches Institutional Payments with Stablecoin USDC in the U.S.

On the 16th, payment giant Visa announced the commencement of institutional payments in the U.S. using the USD stablecoin 'USDC'. Early banking participants, including Cross River Bank, have started using USDC for transactions on the cryptocurrency Solana (SOL) blockchain. Furthermore, plans are in place to expand its usage across the U.S. by 2026. Visa's efforts in stablecoin have been well-known, and on the 15th, they also announced support for banks and corporations in building their stablecoin strategies through the 'Stablecoin Advisory Practice'.
