Solana Faces Major DDoS Attack, Network Remains Unaffected

SolanaFloor reported on the 16th that the cryptocurrency Solana (SOL) has been under a continuous DDoS attack over the past week, peaking at nearly 6Tbps (terabits per second). This rate of data flow, which equates to 6 trillion bits per second, would be akin to streaming approximately 240,000 4K videos (about 25Mbps each) simultaneously. This scale of attack is only surpassed by the 46Tbps attack on Google Cloud in 2022 and the 26-38Tbps attacks on Cloudflare customers in 2023 and 2024.
