JPYC EX Surpasses 10,000 Account Openings and 500 Million Yen in Issuance

On December 16, JPYC Corporation announced that its Japanese yen-denominated stablecoin issuance and redemption platform, JPYC EX, has exceeded 10,000 cumulative account openings and a total issuance amount of 500 million yen as of December 15. JPYC EX was launched on October 27, and it reached these milestones in just about two months. JPYC can be exchanged one-to-one with the Japanese yen, and more than 100% of the issuance balance is secured by deposits and government bonds. The company is the first domestic money transfer business to issue based on the Funds Settlement Law.
