Is the Bull Cycle Over? Fidelity Executive Predicts Bitcoin's 2026 Bottom Near $65,000

Julian Timmer, Director of Global Macro at major U.S. asset management firm Fidelity, has suggested that the bullish phase of Bitcoin's (BTC) four-year cycle may be coming to an end. In a post on platform X, he maintained a long-term bullish stance but indicated that 2026 could be a year of adjustment.

The four-year cycle theory of Bitcoin refers to a price pattern linked to the halving events that occur approximately every four years. During these halvings, mining rewards are halved, reducing new supply, which, if demand remains constant, tends to facilitate a rise in price. The most recent halving in April 2024 saw rewards decrease from 6.25BTC to 3.125BTC.
