Japan's Domestic Digital Securities Market Set to Surpass 1 Trillion Yen: Progmat's Annual Outlook

Progmat, a provider of blockchain-based infrastructure, released its 'Digital Securities (ST) Market Outlook 2026' on the 5th. According to the report, the domestic balance of ST projects is expected to nearly double from approximately 583.1 billion yen at the end of 2025 to over 1.0531 trillion yen by the end of 2026. The cumulative number of projects is also expected to increase from 75 to 110, making it a landmark year in both balance and number of projects. For the year 2026 alone, 35 new projects are anticipated, with an estimated formation amount of over 473.2 billion yen and an issuance amount of over 222.2 billion yen.
