Nike Sells Subsidiary RTFKT, Completely Exits NFT Business

RTFKT Sold in Secret

On December 16, 2025, Nike sold its subsidiary RTFKT, which handled digital products related to NFTs, as reported by The Oregonian. The company was acquired under then-CEO John Donahoe in 2021, but had announced the cessation of its operations about a year ago. The buyer and terms of the transaction have not been disclosed. In a 2024 statement, Nike mentioned 'opening a new chapter for RTFKT and its community,' and continued to speak about innovating in both physical and digital realms.
