World Liberty Financial, a DeFi (Decentralized Finance) project involving the Trump family, announced on the 8th that it has applied for a license with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) to establish a trust bank specializing in stablecoin operations. The application was submitted by 'WLTC Holdings LLC.' If approved, the company will operate as World Liberty Trust Company, managing the issuance of its dollar-linked stablecoin USD1. Since its inception, USD1 has reached a circulation of over $3.3 billion and is operational on ten blockchains.
