President Trump Has No Plans to Pardon Former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried, Reports Say

Responding to Multiple Pardon Inquiries

U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that there are no plans to pardon Sam Bankman-Fried, the founder of the bankrupt cryptocurrency exchange FTX. This was revealed in an interview published by The New York Times on the 9th. When a Times reporter mentioned the names of several high-profile convicts, including Mr. Bankman-Fried, President Trump indicated that he had no intention of granting pardons. In 2023, under the Biden administration, Mr. Bankman-Fried was convicted of multiple fraud and conspiracy charges, involving the embezzlement of billions of dollars of FTX customer funds, and sentenced to 25 years in prison. Mr. Bankman-Fried has appealed the verdict, claiming it was unfair.
