F. Templeton Updates Money Market Funds for Tokenization

On January 13, Franklin Templeton, a major U.S. asset management firm, announced that Western Asset Management, a subsidiary, has updated two institutional money market funds for the tokenized finance market. The move aims to enhance traditional investment products using blockchain technology. The Western Asset Institutional Treasury Obligations Fund has been adjusted to comply with the reserve requirements of the U.S. Genius Act, established in July 2025.
