Ripple Receives Preliminary Approval for EMI License in Luxembourg, Bolstering European Payment Operations

Advancing Towards Pan-European Expansion

On January 14th, Ripple, a blockchain payment company, announced that it had received preliminary approval for an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) license from Luxembourg's Financial Supervisory Authority (CSSF). The CSSF issued a 'green light letter' as a token of approval, confirming that Ripple has met all initial regulatory requirements. Once the formal license is acquired, Ripple will be able to provide payment services across the entire EU with a single license.
