X Bans API Connections for InfoFi Apps That Pay for Posts

X Implements Policy Change

Nikita Bier, the head of the product division at major social networking service X and also an advisor for the cryptocurrency Solana, announced on the 16th that X will change its policy to disallow 'InfoFi (Information Finance)' apps that pay for posts.

He explained that InfoFi apps led to a surge of low-quality posts and unnecessary replies generated by AI on X. This measure is expected to enhance the user experience on X.
