Myna Card Implements JPYC Touch Payment, Sumitomo Mitsui Card Conducts Payment Demonstration

Testing JPYC Touch Payments with My Number Card

On January 16, Sumitomo Mitsui Card and Myna Wallet jointly announced the commencement of a series of pilot tests for stablecoin payments using the My Number Card. The card is used as a wallet, enabling touch payments with the yen-pegged stablecoin on Sumitomo Mitsui Card's 'stera' terminals.

The initial pilot test will be conducted on January 23 and 24 at the Teriha Sekisui House Arena in Fukuoka City, during the home game of the Rizing Zephyr Fukuoka. Attendees who register with their My Number Card will be granted the yen-pegged stablecoin JPYC, which can be used at the venue's concession stands.
