Starting January 28, South Korea's Google Play Store will prohibit the distribution and updates of apps from foreign cryptocurrency exchanges and software wallets that are not registered with the Korea Financial Intelligence Unit (KFIU). According to Google's official policy page, platforms and developers must register as virtual asset service providers.

Currently, only 27 domestic platforms such as Upbit and Bithumb are registered with the KFIU. Major foreign exchanges like Binance, Bybit, and OKX remain unregistered. For these foreign exchanges, local registration requires certification for security and anti-money laundering measures, making it virtually impossible...
