Cryptocurrency Payment Cards to See Daily Transaction Volume Increase 22-Fold by End of 2024

According to a report by The Block on the 20th, from December 2024 to mid-January 2026, the daily transaction count for cryptocurrency payment cards is projected to increase 22-fold, reaching about 60,000 transactions. The daily processing amount is approximately $4 million (about 620 million yen). These cards automatically convert cryptocurrencies to fiat currencies at the time of payment, allowing users to spend digital assets at traditional merchants without manually converting them at exchanges. The Block reports that Etherfi is leading the market, accounting for about half of all transactions. Other key players include Gnosis, MetaMask, and Solayer among others.
