Cryptocurrency Payment Cards to See Daily Transaction Volume Increase by 22-Fold by End of 2024

According to a report by The Block on the 20th, from December 2024 to mid-January 2026, the daily transaction count for cryptocurrency payment cards is projected to increase by 22 times, reaching about 60,000 transactions. The daily transaction volume is estimated to be around $4 million (approximately 620 million yen). These cards automatically convert cryptocurrencies into fiat currencies at the time of payment, allowing users to spend digital assets at traditional merchants without the need to manually convert them at exchanges. The Block reports that Etherfi is leading the market, accounting for about half of all transactions. Other key players include Gnosis, MetaMask, and Solayer among others.
