On the 29th, SEC Chairman Paul Atkins appeared on CNBC's 'Squawk Box' and expressed that now is the right time to allow investments in cryptocurrencies and other digital assets through the 401k defined contribution pension plan.

He noted that many people are already investing in cryptocurrencies and other assets through various professionally managed pension funds, and explained plans to lift restrictions on such investments through 401k. He stated that mechanisms to protect retirees will be implemented, and the plan will proceed in a cautious manner.
