Norwegian Government Fund's Bitcoin Indirect Holdings Surge by Approximately 1.5 Times

According to cryptocurrency research firm K33, the Norwegian government fund's indirect holdings of Bitcoin reached an equivalent of 9,573 BTC by 2025, marking a 149% increase from the previous year. The increase in holdings was facilitated through investments in companies such as Strategy, MARA, Metaplanet, Coinbase, and Block. Although the fund does not directly purchase physical Bitcoin (BTC), the increase in indirect holdings is attributed to these companies continuously accumulating Bitcoin. According to K33's head of research, Børre Lunde, by the end of 2025, the indirect holdings amounted to approximately 8.5 billion Norwegian Krone (equivalent to 136.3 billion yen).
