The Reasons Behind the Crash

On January 31, Binance released a report concerning the cryptocurrency market crash that occurred on October 10, 2025. The company admitted responsibility for two platform failures but argued that these were not the main causes of the market downturn.

On October 10, the market was thrown into historic turmoil following President Trump's announcement of a 100% tariff on Chinese goods. This tariff was seen as a retaliatory measure against China's restrictions on rare earth exports, and it quickly accelerated a risk-off movement.
