Standard Chartered Lowers Solana's 2026 Price Target to $250: What's the Reason?

Long-term Forecast Raised

On February 4th, British financial giant Standard Chartered lowered its end-of-2026 price target for the cryptocurrency Solana (SOL) from $310 to $250, while raising its long-term forecast. This was reported by Decrypt and other media outlets. Jeffrey Kendrick, the head of Global Digital Asset Research at the bank, noted that Solana is evolving from a 'meme coin to micropayments,' and that it will take time for its next major use case to fully materialize. The new forecast predicts that Solana will reach $400 by the end of 2027 (previously $350), $700 by the end of 2028 (previously $475), and continue to rise thereafter.
