Cryptocurrency exchange MEXC has announced an expansion in its market share for futures trading of gold-linked tokens. According to the company, trading volumes for XAUT and PAXG (futures pairs of gold-linked tokens and USDT) have increased towards the end of January. As of January 4, the trading volume for Tether Gold futures was as follows. The company reports that trading volumes for XAUTUSDT and PAXGUSDT have been increasing since the beginning of January 2026. As gold prices continue to set new highs this month, demand for related derivatives has surged. At MEXC, the average daily trading volume in January has increased compared to December, exceeding $500 million on the 25th.
