Pension Funds in 11 U.S. States Face $350 Million in Unrealized Losses from Strategy Shares Investment

According to the research platform Fintel, pension funds in 11 U.S. states are currently facing about $350 million (55 billion yen) in unrealized losses from their investments in Strategy shares, led by Michael Saylor. Collectively, these funds hold approximately 1.8 million shares, with their current valuation at about $240 million, significantly down from the $580 million at the time of purchase. Data indicates that 10 out of these 11 funds have seen a 60% decline in the purchase price of Strategy shares. Over the past year, Strategy shares have lost 68% of their value. The continued drop in Bitcoin prices has resulted in $8.4 billion (1.3 trillion yen) in unrealized losses on the Bitcoin holdings of the company.
