Banks Mention Exception Measures for the First Time in US Stablecoin Yield Discussions

No Progress Observed

On February 10th, representatives from the cryptocurrency and banking industries convened at the White House for a second round of private discussions on stablecoin yields, as reported by multiple media outlets. Although participants described the discussions as 'productive', they apparently did not reach a definitive conclusion on this issue, which continues to stall the passage of the cryptocurrency market structure bill. Participants included major cryptocurrency-related companies and organizations such as Ripple, Coinbase, Crypto Council for Innovation, and the Blockchain Association, as well as major banks like Goldman Sachs, Citi, and JPMorgan Chase, and industry groups such as the American Bankers Association.
