Reopening Date Uncertain

BlockFills, which offers cryptocurrency trading and lending services to institutional investors and is backed by entities including the US CME, disclosed on February 11 that it has been suspending customer deposits and withdrawals since last week.

In a statement, the company cited 'recent market and financial conditions' as the reason, with last week's cryptocurrency market crash playing a significant role.

A spokesperson for the Chicago-based company explained that the suspension of transfers last week was to 'enhance protection for clients and the corporation,' and stated that trading remains available under certain conditions. The timeline for resuming deposits and withdrawals remains unclear.
