Coinbase CEO Sells 1.585 Million Shares Over Nine Months

Coinbase Stock Sale

Matthew Siegel, head of the digital asset research division at asset management giant VanEck, disclosed on the 12th the history of stock sales by Brian Armstrong, CEO of the U.S. cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase. According to the data released, Armstrong sold 1.585 million shares of Coinbase over approximately nine months, from April 2025 to January 2026. It is not uncommon for CEOs to sell shares of their own company. Below is the image Siegel released, showing the highest volume of shares sold on June 25, 2025, totaling 336,265 shares.
