Riot Shareholders Call for Rapid Expansion of AI Data Center Operations

On the 18th, Starboard Value, a major shareholder of Riot Platforms, a cryptocurrency mining company, submitted a letter to Riot's management team requesting increased revenue through the expansion of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and High-Performance Computing (HPC) operations. Starboard Value presented a chart comparing Riot's stock performance with that of thriving competitors such as TeraWulf, Core Scientific, Hut 8, and Cipher Mining. It is noted, however, that the selection of these companies was arbitrary.
