JCB and Others Begin Pilot for Stablecoin Payments in Physical Stores

On February 19, Digital Garage, JCB, and Resona Holdings (Resona HD) announced that they will conduct a pilot test for stablecoin payments in physical stores, in collaboration with MyNaWallet, from February 24 (Tuesday) to March 2 (Monday), 2026. The pilot will focus on the U.S. dollar-denominated stablecoin 'USDC (Base chain)' and the Japanese yen-denominated stablecoin 'JPYC (Polygon)'.
