OpenAI Employee's AI Agent Mistakenly Sends Entire Meme Coin Holdings to Responding User

An autonomous AI trading bot 'Lobstar Wilde', developed by Nick Pash at OpenAI, mistakenly sent its entire meme coin holdings to a user on X (formerly Twitter) on the 22nd.

The incident occurred when a user replied with a wallet address stating 'Need 4 SOL for my uncle’s medical treatment.' Misinterpreting the API response, the bot sent 53 million 'Lobstar' tokens (5% of the total supply, then worth about $250,000) instead of the equivalent of 4 SOL.
