French Financial Giant BNP Paribas Conducts Tokenization Pilot for MMF on Ethereum

Enhancing Operational Efficiency and Security for MMFs

BNP Paribas Asset Management, a leading French financial institution, announced on the 20th that it has experimentally tokenized and issued shares of a Money Market Fund (MMF).

The experiment utilized the Ethereum (ETH) blockchain with a permissioned access model. Within a regulated framework, only approved participants can hold and transfer these tokens.

The tokenized MMF was issued on the public Ethereum network through BNP Paribas' tokenization platform 'AssetFoundry'.
