Financial Services Agency to Support Pilot Projects on Anti-Money Laundering Measures for Cryptocurrencies

Support from the Financial Services Agency

The Financial Services Agency announced on the 27th that it will support private sector pilot projects concerning anti-money laundering (AML) measures for cryptocurrencies and other assets. These pilot projects will examine the effectiveness of a new framework where private businesses collaborate on AML efforts specifically targeting cryptocurrencies, among other assets. They will also explore legal issues related to these measures. Following the conclusion of the pilot projects, the agency plans to publish the results and conclusions on its website.
