U.S. CME Futures Trading Covers Over 75% of Cryptocurrency Market Cap

Strengthening Market Dominance with the Introduction of ADA and Others

The major U.S. derivatives exchange, CME Group, announced on the 4th that its cryptocurrency futures products now cover more than 75% of the total cryptocurrency market cap.

In 2025, CME's cryptocurrency division achieved record-breaking performance, with an average daily trading volume (ADV) of approximately $12 billion. The average open interest (OI) also exceeded initial forecasts, approaching $25 billion, reflecting strong demand from institutional investors.
