Tense Middle East Situation Impacts Mining Industry

The computational power of the Bitcoin (BTC) network, indicated by its hashrate, dropped by approximately 8% over the week leading up to March 18, falling to 920 EH/s (exahashes per second).

This sharp decline appears to be primarily due to the surge in crude oil prices triggered by the outbreak of conflict in Iran, and the consequent global rise in energy prices, dramatically increasing operational costs for miners.
