First Major Overhaul of the Zengin System

On the 19th, the National Bank Financial Settlement Network (Zengin Net) released a report from a specialist committee, revealing plans for the first major overhaul of the interbank transfer core system in over 50 years. If realized, this project would fundamentally replace the existing National Bank Data Communication System (Zengin System), which started operations in 1973. The project will proceed with the examination of requirements and system design within fiscal year 2026, after which a final decision on the construction will be made.
