Unauthorized Access to Internal IT Systems

On April 6, 2026, Bitcoin Depot, a leading operator of Bitcoin (BTC) ATMs in the US, disclosed in an 8-K filing to the SEC that it had been the victim of a cyberattack resulting in the unauthorized outflow of digital currency.

According to the company, unauthorized access was detected on March 23, 2026. The attackers breached Bitcoin Depot's internal IT systems and obtained credentials related to the company's digital asset payment accounts...
