Progmat Leads Initiative for On-Chain Repo Transactions of Japanese Government Bonds by 2026

Aiming for Project Launch Within 2026

On the 7th, it was revealed that the Digital Asset Co-Creation Consortium (DCC), operated by Progmat, has commenced a joint exploration for the realization of on-chain repo transactions using tokenized Japanese government bonds and stablecoins, as reported by the Nikkei. Progmat is a startup providing blockchain infrastructure. The working group is set to kick off in May 2026, with a report scheduled for publication in October of the same year.
